Bangs Are Back!

I just found this! So great, and funny!

My bangs are now famous on Elizabeth Wellington's blog Mirror Image. Elizabeth writes for the Philly Inquirer and did a great piece on Pop-Up Art shops in which she also interviewed Abby and I about All By Hand! During the interview she kept commenting on how much she liked my bangs. My great friend Jenni at Plume cuts my hair and always does such a great job! Elizabeth like my bangs so much she wrote a really fun piece on her blog about how bangs are back! Read the blog article here, and read the full Inquirer article here!

Thanks so much Elizabeth! Such a funny shout out, and I'm totally loving it!!!

Me and my newly famous bangs. (Well sort of famous, but I'm totally going to live it up)

XOXO,

Julianna

We are so excited, but we've really hit the ground running. We will open November 1st, so as soon as you could send us images of your (or someone you know's) work, we'd really appreciate it!

Thanks again to everyone who's been helping us with all the business back ends. And a big THANK YOU to everyone's prayers, fingers crossed, seances, ancient chinese luck charms, and wishbone wishes headed our way. Please keep them up! We'll definitely need them over the next 3 months.

Fishtown Shad Fest!

Hey Everybody! So quickly coming up is the Fishtown Shad Fest. It's an arts fair and 5k run to celebrate the the ever exciting fish, the Shad. That's right, now what is a shad you might ask? Good question. (I had to look it up too.) It's a fresh water fish that's related to the herring. So now what does that have to do with Fishtown? Alot! Early colonists relied on this fish as a source of income and food. Well anyway the good people at the Fishtown Area Business Association decided it was time to celebrate this fish, and you know what why not!

All that being said.... LEAH AND I WILL BE WORKING IT. phew. Maybe we should make some Shad shirts to accompany or Scrapple wares? That's right Scrapple wares will be back in the full effect for Shad fest. So if you're interested in pre-ordering a shirt feel free to email me (juliannalose@gmail.com). We will now have shirts from sizes XS to XXL.

Leah Mackin will of course be selling her great book spine bracelets, vintage cover book journals, pressed plastic bag journals, and other great hand bound books. Check out her stuff here!

You can also get your hot off the presses baby clothes from Bon Bon Baby! (that's me. haha) I finally came up with a name! With designs like Sweet Pea, Cutie Pie, and My lil' Cupcake! All come in sizes from 3-6 months to 12-18 months. Get a preview!

Okay so here's hoping to see you there! Oh wait, here's all the important info:

Joe Stakun

Just a quick little quip about my good buddy Joe Stakun...

Through the entirety of my friendship with this guy he's done nothing but work and work and work and work on a plethora of projects. From his movie about FBM bikes to countless music videos to funny shorts he made with buddies, I really had yet to see one of his projects come to fruition. Well the day has finally come! I just checked out his music video for the Future Islands, which he directed and animated, and it's awesome! Here don't believe me... check it out!

Future Islands- Beach Foam from joe stakun on Vimeo.

So Joe Stak I can't wait to see your movie and everything else you continue to work on in the future.

Finally!!!!!!!!

Wow Kids sorry for the delay in blog posts, but.........
THE PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET has finally been rescheduled!!!!!!
wooooooo. Okay so how about all the info...
So after much ado about nothing R5 has finally come up with a new date and new venue for the flea market. It's going to be on Feb. 1st (yes Superbowl Sunday, but what does that matter the Eagles failed Philly again) at the Electric Factory! I know awesome right, so that means more space, more vendors, and more fun! Okay so now here's all the R5 jargon...

What a great place to sell & trade and but everyone else's weird holiday gifts! It's that time again for the semi-annual (twice a year) PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET. Our most popular reoccurring event/show/whatever (by far). All proceeds raised will goto the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies to ensure that all ages shows continue to remain a reality at The First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia - mainly the remaining payment for our new liability insurance policy. Do not let the name lead you to believe that it's just punk records, clothes etc. - it's a full on flea market with everything from furniture, to laptops / computers , to stereo equipment, to handmade apparel, to vegan treats, information from various non profit groups, book stores, artists selling their work, bicycles & skateboards and whatever else we can fit onto the floor at The Electric Factory.
MOVED TO ELECTRIC FACTORY
421 N 7th Street (7th & Willow Sts In Center City)
Philadelphia, PA
$3 Entry Donation

Leah and I will of course be selling our Scrapple wares with some brand spanking new printed "I Heart Scrapple" T's, now in kids sizes too! Not to mention Leah's great handmade books, bracelets, book safes, and other print and book apparel. I'll be there with my new and improved "Bon Bon Baby!" line. Expect to see warm and cold weather apparel with new designs! And of course we'll be selling flea market stuffs too!
So, Come hang out with me and all these other cool people.... We'll look forward to seeing you there!!!!!!
